YPG Press Office said in a written statement on its website that operations against ISIS-occupied areas in south Kobanê continue.

According to the statement, fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) conducted an operation in the village of Serêkaniyê to the southeast of Sirîn town last night. The gang groups were inflicted heavy blows in hand-to-hand fighting in the village, as a result of which 18 members of the gangs were killed and 12 others were wounded.

YPG said three fighters of the Defense Units have lost their lives in clashes in the village.

Stating that gang groups launched an attack on the village of Qinêtra bordering Turkey late yesterday evening, YPG said that the village to the east of Girê Spî, which is guarded by FSA groups, was targeted by suicide attacks.

The detonation of an explosive-laden vehicle, which luckily resulted in no casualties thanks to security measures, was followed by suicide attacks conducted by 4 gang members, which left 2 fighters of the FSA martyred.

YPG added that 6 members of the gang groups were verified dead in the attack.
