Yagiz hospitalized, refuses treatment

Nasir Yagiz, who has been on a hunger strike for 165 days demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan, was taken to the Jin Hospital when his condition worsened but he refused treatment.

Nasir Yagiz, who has been on an indefinite nonalternating hunger strike since November 20 last year demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan, was taken to the Jin Hospital when his condition worsened. After doctors examined him, Yagiz refused treatment and continued with his hunger strike.

Yagiz had been hospitalized on January 1 and February 26 before, and he also refused treatment in both instances.
HDP Hewler Representation Office Co-chair Muzeyen Gunes said Yagiz was hospitalized last night when his condition worsened.

Yagiz’s doctors said his heart beat is extremely low and that he has severe loss of vision due to increased pain in his eyes.
