A violent blast took place in the Syrian part of the Jarablus-Karkamış border gate and an ISIS emir named Abdurrahman died in this explosion.

According to ANHA News Agency, a violent explosion took place in the Syrian part of the Jarablus-Karkamış border gate today at 10:30. The cause of the explosion is unknown and an ISIS emir named Abdurrahman died in the blast.

ISIS gangs were filmed planting landmines in the region recently and Turkish soldiers nearby had not intervened in the situation. FSA had taken Jarablus from regime forces in 2012, and Al-Nusra and ISIS used the town as an attack base after they invaded the town in 2013.
