Two blast bombs were detonated simultaneously in front of Siirt Court and Cumhuriyet Police Station in the city centre. No one has been killed or hurt, said head of Siirt Security Directorate Celali Topuz on 12 July.

Head of security also stated that the responsibility for the incidents has not been claimed by anyone yet and their investigation is continuing.

There were several demonstrations in Siirt last week in order to protest the brutal treatment of the Turkish soldiers against the bodies of Kurdish rebels who lost their lives in the clashes took place in Siirt and Semdinli.
