Turkish soldiers kill two civilians, injure five others near Rojava border

Turkish soldiers attacked civilians near the border of Rojava (Western) and Bakurê (Northern) Kurdistan, leaving two of them dead and five others injured.

Soldiers of the occupant Turkish army targeted civilians in Mezra village of Beravê region 15 km to Derik and on the border of Western and Northern Kurdistan yesterday evening. Two civilians lost their lives and five others got injured as a result of the attack.

Turkish soldiers also opened fire on locals who wanted to retrieve the casualties from the scene and to take the wounded to hospital after the shooting.

Despite all the efforts of locals, bodies of two slain civilians and an injured one remained at the site, while they managed to take the other four injured civilians to Derik Hospital.

The wounded and hospitalized locals, Mihemed Îd Ehmed, Ebd Reşîd Elî, Mihemed Emîn Heyder and Salih Şêx Xelîl, stated that Turkish soldiers started to shoot at them as they were on their way from their village to another.
