Turkish military activity increases 2 days prior to elections

People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Media Center reported in a written statement that Turkish military activity in North Kurdistan has increased 2 days prior to the general elections. Concerning the aerial activities of Turkish forces, HPG gave the following information:
- Drone activity over Gostê area of Xakurke between 07:00 - 12:00 on June 4. Drone and war plane activity in same area and day, between 19:00 - 23:00.
- Drone activity over Oremar area of Yüksekova district of Hakkari between 05:00 and 12:00 on June 4.
- Drone activity over Şukê area near the Avaşin border of Medya Defense Area between 19:00 and 02:00 on June 4. Similar activity on June 5 between 05:00 - 07:00.
- Drone activity over Zap region on June 4 between 06:30 and 01:30.
- Warplane activity over Avaşin area on June 4 between 20:00 - 22:30.
- Warplane activity over Metina area on June 4 between 20:00 - 21:00 and 00:00 - 01:00.
HPG further reported that Turkish military forces launched an operation and laid ambushes in the region between Farqin district of Amed and Boşatê village on June 4 at 05:00. HPG officials added that the operation spread through the participation of the village guards, drones and Kobra helicopters. HPG said the operation ended without success at 15:00.
HPG also stated that Turkish soldiers laid ambushes in the area between the Varto district of Van and Tatan village on June 4 between 07:00 - 12:00 and 19:00 - 03:00.
Lastly, HPG reported that the Turkish army set up a new drone station, protected by special unit forces, in the Heyran Golê village of Eleşkirt district in Ağrı on June 2.
