'The Leader's Garden' built in Sinjar

The ''Leader's Garden', dedicated to Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, is a joint work of HPG, YJA Star, YBŞ and Yazidi people in Sinjar, and represents a new life in Sinjar.

Life in Sinjar is being rebuilt step by step as local people are continuing their life at the skirts of the Mount Sinjar after the massacre committed by ISIS gangs against the Yazidi community last August.

A 'Leader's Garden' has been built in Sinjar town of South Kurdistan. The forming of the garden in Kersê area, which started two months ago, has been completed.

The Garden dedicated to Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan is a joint work of HPG, YJA Star, YBŞ and Yazidi people in Sinjar, and represents a new life in Sinjar.

200 saplings have been planted in the garden which has been covered with the photographs of HPG, YJA Star, YBŞ, YPJ Sinjar guerrillas martyred in the historic resistance to inhumane gang groups known for savage crimes against non-Muslim communities and humanity.

HPG guerrilla Sema Amed who also took part in the works, said the garden has been built upon the request of the local people, adding; “This garden represents the new life, the philosophy of the Leader.”

'These saplings were planted for the future'

Amed told that; "We preferred to build the garden, covered with photos of our Leader, in this strategic area at the entrance of the Sinjar town. The Yazidi people who are continuing their life in Sinjar have also contributed to the building of this garden. Everyone came here and planted a sapling for the future."

''Saplings bringing about new hopes'

Another HPG guerrilla Özgür Ronî who also took part in the works, said the garden represented the new life, pointing out that; "This garden manifests the life to be lived in Sinjar town, and the philosophy the Yazidi people will pursue from now on."

Ronî, who said every single sapling planted here will clear the traces of the massacre as they grow up, added; "Both we, military forces, and the Yazidi people planted these saplings with great hopes. One day, our Leader will come to this garden and meet the Yazidi people."
