In Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari where a state of siege remains in place for the 35th day, state forces have surrounded the Esentepe and Esenyurt neighborhoods with armored vehicles as of early morning hours today despite there taking place no clashes.

Members of gendarmerie special operations (JÖH) and police special operations (PÖH) raided a number of houses in both neighborhoods by breaking the doors with sledgehammers or blowing them up with explosives to get inside.

It is reported that Turkish forces have seized some household goods and looted ornaments of the people living in these houses.

While house raids continue, tanks have been deployed at some locations on İpekyolu Avenue overlooking both neighborhoods.
