Shopkeepers in Bane and Ciwanro who make their living through kolbering (load carrying for daily wage) and border trade launched a boycott six days ago against Iran for issuing laws affecting kolbers and banning border trade by shutting down the marketplaces and their shops. Mariwan, Saqiz, Mahabad and Sardasht shopkeepers joined the boycott as well.

Iranian religious leader Ali Khamanei sent a religous representative named Seîd Celîlî to Rojhilat in order to end the protest and obstruct the people. A Kurdish youngster by the name of Yadîgar Sadiqî opposed the remarks of Seîd Celîlî in mosque and condemned the practices of the regime.

Yadîgar Sadiqî from Bane, who was detained by the regime forces last night, opposed the regime’s representative as follows;

“Whenever there is an incident, regime forces attack Kurdish young people. We are not afraid of these practices of yours. I will keep my protest going. The Iranian government has no seriousness left. You have closed the border crossings and deprived the people of their livelihood. Regime forces have killed 6 children at the border so far. You have no right to kill anyone.”
