Kurdish demonstrators in Yuksekova district of Hakkari protesting the burial of the Kurdish guerrillas by state officials in a cemetery of nameless without practicing religious requirements clashed with police. The demonstrators including the Mayor protesting against the military operations against the PKK marched following a press release read out by BDP (Peace and Democracy Party).

It is reported that no shopkeeper in the town opened their shutters and the Kurdish youth blocked the roads with barricades. After the police attacked the demonstrators with water cannons and teargas bombs the youth stoned the police vehicles. The clashes are continuing in the town.

On the other hand Mayors of Yuksekova and Esendere districts as well as some other BDP members set off towards Semdinli district where allegedly bodies of 12 Kurdish fighters are kept in a morgue.
