PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) Shengal Executive Cemil Xıdır refuted the KDP media reports which quoted him as saying that; “HPG guerrillas obstruct the liberation of Shengal. They need to get out of Shengal.”

PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) Shengal Executive Cemil Xıdır refuted the KDP media reports which quoted him as saying that; “HPG guerrillas obstruct the liberation of Shengal. They need to get out of Shengal.” Xıdır said he never made such a statement and KDP press has slandered him.

PUK Executive stated that KDP press shouldn't be trusted for it spreads fabricated news with an aim to defame HPG guerrillas that resist with bravery in Shengal.

'HPG PUTS UP A BRAVE FIGHT SINCE THE FIRST DAY'

Xıdır remarked that KDP uses the press to manipulate the other Kurdish forces in Shengal and create a conflict, adding; "KDP press misinforms the society by spreading news claiming that PUK doesn't want HPG in Shengal. They have also involved my name in this issue despite the fact that I never made such a statement. The PUK has a clear approach in this regard; it is by no means disturbed by PKK's presence in Shengal and strictly stands against the creation of a conflict among the forces in the region. HPG is a force of Kurdistan and puts up a brave fight since the first day of ISIS occupation in Shengal. Instead of creating a conflict, we must establish a joint command and liberate Shengal from ISIS gangs. "

'HPG FIGHTS FOR THE PEOPLE OF KURDISTAN'

Referring to the presence of HPG guerrillas in Shengal, PUK executive emphasised that PKK makes serious efforts for the liberation of Shengal, and this also been proved by the successful operations they have conducted in Geliyo Shilo recently. "HPG gives a self-sacrificing fights for the people of Kurdistan. For this reason, nobody should trust the reports of KDP press which publishes news manifesting their approach on Shengal issue. Our people already know about the stance of the Kurdistan forces here."

In a recent report, Rudaw TV published a news which it attributed to Cemil Xıdır claiming that PUK doesn't want HPG guerrillas in Shengal.
