Police murder two youths in Mardin and Şırnak

Police bullet claimed yet another life in Artuklu district of Mardin where a crackdown was staged on the youths that took to the streets in Yalım neighborhood yesterday evening to protest the recently increasing military attacks and attacks on Kurdish people and freedom movement.
Caught in crossfire during the police attack with real bullets, 19-year-old Ali Akpınar lost his life at the scene after suffering a heavy injury in the crackdown. While police blocked the area and not allowed any ambulances in, Akpınar's body remained on the ground for hours before it was finally taken to Amed for an autopsy.
Bullets fired by police also hit a number of houses in the neighborhood.
The youth's father cried out against the never-ending attacks and killings by security forces, saying that he had called an ambulance to the scene three times but none of them was responded as Turkish authorities told him to take the body out of the area themselves. Father Mehmet Akpınar said his son was targeted by fire opened from an patrolling armored vehicle, adding; "Enough is enough. We are hurt so bad in our heart and do not want anyone else to go through the same thing. We got hurt, and I wish the same for Erdoğan himself."
Grandfather Hüsnü Elmas said his grandson's body remained on the ground for four hours as no ambulance was allowed into the area due to the police blockade around the neighborhood.
On the other hand, a youth by the name of Cebbar Acar lost his life as a result of fire opened by Turkish police in İdil district of Şırnak last night.
20-year-old Acar was heavily injured after police patrolling in an armored vehicle opened fire on him as he stood near his house at 02:00 in the night.
After dying of blood lose soon later, Acar's body was taken to the İdil State Hospital morgue.
