More than 5,000 demonstrators clashed with police Sunday in Diyarbakýr after a march calling for an end to military operations.
Demonstrators gathered in the city to protest against Turkish security forces, accused of mutilating the bodies of PKK members who lost their life in recent fighting and not returning them to their families.
The protesters threw rocks and sticks at riot police, who responded with tear gas. At least 10 demonstrators were arrested.
Most shops shut down for the day in Diyarbakýr, in sign of protest.
