Peace Against War Movement to visit site of Turkish massacre

The Peace Against War Movement is planning to visit the areas where the Turkish state has committed massacres and meet with Iraqi officials and political parties.

Intellectuals, academics, activists, journalists, writers, lawyers, politicians and religious representatives formed a group called the Peace Against War Movement in the Communist Party Hewler offices on June 30. The members immediately started working and announced that they would be going to the area where the massacre was committed to carry out an investigation.

Peace Against War Movement Member Zewer Gerdi said they will visit areas where the Turkish state has committed massacres and added: “We will visit Kortek, and read a statement there. In the following days we will visit political parties and consulates in Bashur (South Kurdistan), the Iraqi parliament and the President. We will discuss how to stop the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Bashur in these meetings."
