HPG and Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ) Commands have issued a joint statement regarding the ongoing operation to liberate Sinjar. 
The statement said the operation of the joint resistance forces to liberate Sinjar continues, reporting the clashes of the last 24 hours. 
The statement reported that on 2 February at 18:30, the guerrilla forces opened fire on gangs positioned around Suka Jêr neighbourhood, leaving 1 gang member dead and 2 others wounded. 
It has also been reported that an explosive was detonated while the gangs were preparing it in the area of Heya Minarê at around 16:00. 1 gang member died in this explosion said the statement. 
HPG and YBŞ further reported that the ISIS gangs launched a mortar attack on and around Mount Sinjar on 2 February.
