Within the framework of Operation Enduring Security, launched by the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces), YPJ (Women’s Defense Units) and the Internal Security Forces against ISIS terrorist cells in the Hol area, its countryside, and its camp, the participating forces conducted, in the early hours of Saturday, November 9th, a targeted security operation in the camp, capturing seven ISIS terrorists.
The terrorists were attempting to exploit the humanitarian conditions within the camp to conceal themselves, stockpile weapons, and plan and carry out terrorist attacks inside and outside the camp.
Based on intelligence gathering and surveillance, the operation was successfully conducted without causing any harm to displaced persons in the camp.
The forces participating in Operation Enduring Security affirm that the ongoing combing operations will significantly enhance the security of the Hol area, including the camp, by eliminating the remnants of ISIS cells.
