YPG Press Office has said in today’s statement regarding the ongoing fighting that the attacks of the gang groups in the area between Ayn Îsa and Silûk districts were successfully repulsed and that the searching activities continue.

YPG Press Office said that the Operation Commander Rubar Qamislo launched in the western parts of the Cizîr canton against the ISIS gangs continues in its 63rd day with the participation of both Kobanê and Cizîr canton forces.

According to the statement, the attacks launched by the gangs the day before in the area between the west of Mount Kezwan and the towns of Ayn Îsa and Silûk were successfully repulsed, adding that YPG/YPJ fighters have carried out and completed searching and cleaning activities in the mentioned area and villages to the east of Ayn Îsa.

The statement said that YPG/YPJ forces seized the corpses of 14 gang members and some ammunition in the mentioned area where operations and interventions of the resistance forces against the new attacks of the ISIS gangs continue.

YPG further reported that searching and cleaning activities in the hills of Radyo and Radar of Mount Kezwan, where the gangs launched an attack yesterday, have also been completed. YPG forces verified that 11 gang members were killed in this area, while some amount of ammunition and weapons were also seized.

The gang groups also launched an attack on the resistance forces stationed in an area 15 km south to Mebrûka, where fierce clashes broke out as a result of the strong response by fighters of the YPG/YPJ. The gang groups were forced to flee the area following the clashes, the statement said.

YPG lastly reported that the gang groups carried out an attack with a bomb-laden vehicle, in which they targeted the Xwêra village nearby Silûk, which is protected by the fighters of Erka Xwe Parastinê. YPG said the attacks were repulsed while a fighter of Erka Xwe Parastinê was martyred in the fighting.
