YPG Press Office said in a written statement that operations in response to the attacks of ISIS gangs on Hesekê town center continue.
The statement reported that fighters of the YPG/YPJ last night conducted an operation against the village of Ebû Emshê to the south of Hesekê where ISIS gangs are deployed.
As a result of the operation, this village bordering the region of Vîlatê Sor was entirely cleansed of ISIS groups, while the number of casualties on ISIS side couldn't be verified.
Early this morning, gang groups carried out an attack with an explosive-laden vehicle which targeted the YPG/YPJ positions in the village but was harshly responded.
During the stated confrontation one YPG/YPJ combatant was martyred in action after exhibiting an abundant deal of resistance on the fields of battle, the statement said, adding that heavy clashes in the area continue.
YPG Press Office stated that YPG/YPJ combatants also continue their operations in ISIS-occupied areas to the south of Kobanê.
A short-lasting clash broke out between YPG/YPJ and ISIS in the region of Mecbele last night, while the exact number of ISIS casualties couldn't be verified.
YPG said that efforts of search operations by YPG/YPJ troops are enduring around Ain Issa area where Defense Units repelled attacks by the gangs yesterday. 26 corpses of the ISIS gangs were found here, it added.
