Martyrs’ families in Bashur: Erdoğan is an enemy to all Kurds

Martyrs families in Bashur have condemned the silence in the face of the attacks on Makhmur Camp and the Asos Mountain, and called for unity.

Martyrs families from Bashur, Southern Kurdistan have strongly protested the attacks on the Makhmur Refugee Camp and the Asos Mountain.

Dara Yusuf, the brother of Sirvan Rauf who had set himself on fire as a protest against the international conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, pointed out that the Turkish state attacks more as they are defeated.

Yusuf offered condolences for the families of people who lost their lives in the attack on the camp and said: “We believe this attack was a joint plan of the fascist Turkish state and the KDP. These attacks take place because they can’t stomach the resistance of the guerrilla in Northern Kurdistan, the political gains the HDP has made and the revolution the people have created in Rojava. As families of martyrs, we say we must be united so there won’t be any more massacres. That is the only way possible massacres can be prevented. I say we must protest these massacres at the highest level.”

“ERDOĞAN ISN’T JUST AN ENEMY TO THE PKK BUT ALL KURDS”

Ibrahim Mihemmed Emin, family member of a martyr from Southern Kurdistan, said:

“We as the Southern Kurdistan PKK Martyrs’ Families Committee condemn the fascist Turkish state’s attacks on Asos and Makhmur. It is well about time that the Kurds know who their friends and foes are. The silence from Southern Kurdistani political parties despite these attacks and the massacres that occurred as a result makes me think. They can trample international law, laws of the regional government and Iraqi laws and come bomb Asos whenever they please.

They bomb the civilian population in the camp, civilian villages in Asos, homes, fields, orchards and gardens. But there is silence in the international arena, in the UN and in the administration and political parties in the South. Erdoğan and the Turkish state have displayed their enmity clearly once again with these attacks. Erdoğan and the Turkish state are not enemies to the PKK, but all Kurds. And we must react together as the people, political parties and four parts of Kurdistan in the face of this.”

“THEY ARE PARTNERS IN SILENCE”

Çinar Mihemmed Emin, another relative of a martyr, said: “The Turkish state used to bomb Kurdistan’s mountains and villages. Now they are bombing a camp in the middle of Kurdistan. Unfortunately, the Southern Kurdistan government and the political parties don’t see themselves as responsible in these attacks, they stay silent. The regional government, the political parties and the Iraqi state become partners with their silence in the face of these attacks. The Turkish state as attacked the Southern Kurdistan government, the political parties and the Iraqi state with these attacks as well, but still the silence continues.”
