The guerrillas of HRK (Eastern Kurdistan Forces), the military wing of PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan) launched an attack on a military post in Soma killing 11 Iranian Revolutionary Guards. According to a statement released by the HRH, the attack was launched on Sunday night at 9pm. First reports indicates that 11 Iranian Revolutionary Guards have been killed while the Kurdish guerrillas reported no losses.

After the execution of five political prisoners in Tehran on Sunday 9 May, attacks by the Kurdish guerrillas have increased.
