Jarablus Military Council issued a warning to the Turkish state because of its enmity towards the people of Jarablus and Syria. The council stated that they would not be silent in the face of Turkish incursions and would defend the region and the people on the basis of international treaties.

In its statement, the council warned the Turkish state about its intervention in Jarablus and emphasized that Turkey’s dispatch of gangs including ISIS members over its border serves to deepen the problem of security in Syria.

Jarablus Military Council noted that the Turkish state accelerated its hostile policies in the region after the liberation of Manbij near Jarablus with the support of SDF forces, and Turkey has positioned gang groups including ISIS members along its border in order to use them in Syria. The council said that the goal of these actions was to disrupt the peace in Syria, and Turkey accelerated its hostile politics recently in order to eliminate the gains of the people in the region.

In its statement, the council recalled that Turkey tries to be an influential actor in the region through its support to armed Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist groups that behead children in Aleppo and Manbij. The council stated that these gang groups supported by the Turkish Intelligence Agency now try to occupy Jarablus, and emphasized that these actions serve to fulfill the agreement between gang groups such as ISIS and the Turkish state.

Jarablus Military Council warned the Turkish state for its hostile activities targeting Jarablus and the people of Syria, and affirmed that they would respond to all incursions and hostile acts. The council reaffirmed its commitment to international treaties and described defending the people as their moral and legitimate duty. The council stated that they would respond to all attacks, and called upon armed groups affiliated with Turkey to stop their activities in the region.

Lastly, the Council called upon the US-led coalition forces to fulfill their promises, prevent Turkey from intervening in the region, and protect the gains of the people.

Jarablus Military Council had been established with the union of Euphrates Jarablus (Cawadira), Ahrar Jarablus and Siqûr Jarablus battalions.
