Hunger strike in Maxmur on day 127

Day 92 of Fadile Tok's indefinite hunger strike and day 127 of the alternating hunger strike against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan in Maxmur.

The hunger strike protest launched in Maxmur, South Kurdistan against the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on the 127th day. The action has been taken over by the 43rd group today following a press briefing attended by many people.

Speaking on behalf of the 42nd group in the press conference, activist Abdulkerîm Mijini said the following; “The isolation imposed on Leader Apo is essentially imposed on the entire Kurdish people. The Kurdish people should see this reality and act on this basis. They should raise their voice louder against the isolation. The Turkish state seeks to sever its ties with the Kurdish people by aggravating the isolation on Leader Apo. In consideration of this, everyone should continue their struggle until the isolation is broken.”

Following the statement, 43rd group took over the alternating hunger strike chanting “Bijî Serok Apo” [Long Live Leader Öcalan] and “Bê Serok jiyan nabe” [No Life Without the Leader].

On the other hand, Ishtar Council member Fadile Tok is on day 92 of her indefinite hunger strike which she commenced in Maxmur on January 20.
