People’s Defence Forces (HPG) has said in a written statement that Turkish war planes carried out flights over Avashin and Metina areas of Medya Defence Zones at between 22:20 - 00:00 on 11 July, while also reporting an activity of drone flights over Gare area at between 03:30 - 15:30 on 11 July; over Zap region at between 17:30 - 19:30 on 11 July and over Metina area at between 07:00 - 12:00 on 12 July.
According to the HPG statement, drone activities also took place over the following areas:
-The southern area of Muş province at between 08:00 - 15:00 on 11 July,
-Over Martyr Remzi area located in the triangular area between Kulp, Lice and Genç districts of Amed at between 09:00 - 18:00 on 11 July,
-Over Xaçareş area of Mutki district of Bitlis at between 09:00 on 11 July and 11:00 on 12 July.
HPG reported that Turkish soldiers launched and operation supported by Sikorsky type helicopters on Martyr Sidar area in Gulê village of Ardahan at 13: 00 on 11 July.
HPG remarked that the Turkish army launched an operation following the warning action of the guerrillas on 11 July which targeted 4 trucks of the Turkish military carrying construction material for the reinforcement of military outposts in the areas of Ebubekira and Xerlul villages of Eruh district of Siirt.
HPG said the Turkish army started another operation in the areas of Besa and Bezinga with the support of village guards from the villages of Şuxa, Beyrux, Kilik, Şuz and Rubarya in Eruh district on 12 July.
While the army air-dropped soldiers into Besa and Bezinga areas with Sikorsky type helicopters 16 times, Cobra type helicopters on the other hand opened random fire on Deriyê Osmanağa area. The operation continues expanding, HPG said.
HPG lastly reported that Turkish soldiers have set up checkpoints and carried out intense road controls on the road from Beşabê village to the dam construction area in Amed's Farqin district for the last two days.
