HPG guerrillas in South Kurdistan destroy Turkish radar system and surveillance cameras

According to HPG, guerrilla snipers in South Kurdistan destroyed a radar system and surveillance cameras belonging to the Turkish forces. The guerrilla areas have been bombed 22 times by Turkish fighter jets since the beginning of the week.

The Press Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) has published a brief report on the guerrilla resistance and attacks by the Turkish army in the Medya Defense Areas in South Kurdistan. Accordingly, on 26 February, guerrilla snipers twice targeted military equipment of the Turkish occupation forces in the Girê FM area in the western Zap region. The targeted fire destroyed a radar system and two surveillance cameras.

According to reports, the Turkish army has used drones loaded with explosives and improvised explosive devices five times in the past two days against guerrilla positions in the Girê Cûdî resistance area in the western Zap region.

Since the beginning of the week, the HPG has recorded 22 air strikes by Turkish fighter jets on guerrilla areas. The bombed areas are Neqeba Xêrê, Çemrobotkî, Gûzê and Şiyê in Gare, Ava Lolanê and Goşînê in Xakurke, Şêlazê, Dergelê, Bazê and Serê Metîna in Metîna, and Girê Bahar, Girê Amêdî and Şeh îd Îbrahîm in Zap.
