HPG guerrilla İpek's mother battered and detained

Halise Aksoy, whose martyred son Agit İpek’s mortal remains were delivered to her in a box by mail, was battered and detained.

Police raided the house of Halise Aksoy, mother of HPG guerrilla Agit İpek, who was martyred in a clash in Dersim in 2017 and whose body was sent to his family in a box by mail on March 2, 2020, on the grounds that there was a police report over her guests who are members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) central executive board (MYK).

Aksoy, whose door was broken during the raid, was later laid face down on concrete together with her guests. While the house was being searched, Aksoy and her 4 guests were battered by the police. During the raid, one of the guests was injured on the head. The house was searched for 5 hours after which Aksoy was taken to the Diyarbakır Police Headquarters with 4 other people in the house. Aksoy and her 4 guests were later released after giving their statements which lasted for 4 hours.
