People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in its daily statement that bombardments of the Turkish troops launched mainly by howitzer and mortar fires against the guerrilla held Medya Defence Zones continue.

Concerning the bombardments of Turkish troops against guerrilla held areas with howitzers and mortars, the HPG gave the following information:

Bombardment launched from Çete Hill military post at Zagros region borderline targeted Veregol Castle at between 19:00 - 21:00 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Bezelê military post targeted Dola Mehendê and Dola Kewê at 19:00 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Remo and Hill Çete military posts targeted martyr Hozan and Veregol castle at between 12:00 - 12:30 on August 13,

Bombardment launched from Şapata, Radyolog and Durê military posts located at the borderline of Xakurke targeted Golankê, Nerduşa, Tiê and Bermeşê areas at between 05:30 - 07:30 on August 13. Wild fire erupted in the area due to the bombardments which left one civilian from Golankê village wounded,

Bombardment launched from Oremar military post in Yüksekova district of Hakkari targeted Martyr Gafur area at the Avashin border line at between 19:00 - 20:30 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Hill Çete military post and Gülyazı Artillery Regiment at Heftanin border line targeted Deriyê Davetiya area at between 22:30 - 23:30 on August 12 and at between 03:00 - 08:00 on August 13,

Bombardment launched from Serbesta military post at Metina border line targeted Kuroşino Hill at between 19:00 - 20:00 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Aruş military post targeted Kuroşino, Duava areas and the foothills of Zendura at between 21:30 - 23:00 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Bilican military post at Zap region border line targeted Hill Hakan at between 12:30 - 15:00 on August 12,

Bombardment launched from Bilican military post targeted Hill Güvenlik, Hill Hakan, Gareya Piçuk, Hilalê village and Martyr Newal areas at between 17:00 - 18:00 on August 12.

Reconnaissance flights over guerrilla areas continue

HPG went on reporting the reconnaissance flights performed by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles over guerrilla-held areas. HPG gave the following information regarding the locations of Turkish drone activities:

-Avashin border line at between 07.00 on August 12 and 12:00 on August 13,

-Heftanin area at between 13:00 - 17:00 on August 11 and at between 05:00 - 18:00 on August 12,

-Zap region at between 09:00 - 10:00 on August 12.
