HDP Ağrı parliamentarian Dirayet Taşdemir inspected the crime scene where the police executed three civilians, two of whom were children. Taşdemir described the incident as a clear execution and said that there was no sign of a shootout at the crime scene. He noted that the arrest of five witnesses aimed to cover up police execution.

'THERE IS NO PROOF OF A SHOOTOUT AT THE CRIME SCENE'

Taşdemir emphasized that the two murdered children were working at the bakery, and were clearly executed. HDP MP said that the two children hid behind a glass window when they saw two armored vehicles approach the bakery, and there was no sign of a shootout at the crime scene. Taşdemir stated that the owner of the bakery as well as neighborhood residents confirmed that the children were working at the bakery, and witnesses report that special operation police officers tried to put guerrilla clothes on the slain children. Taşdemir noted that the bodies of the children were taken to Erzurum without informing their parents, and the 5 people who witnessed the incident have been under custody at Diyadin Police Headquarters. She highlighted that there was a clear execution, which police officers were trying to cover up.

'PROSECUTOR HAS NOT YET COME TO THE CRIME SCENE'

Taşdemir stated that they spoke with the prosecutor, who did not know any details and thought that there was a shootout without having visited the crime scene. Taşdemir said that they asked the prosecutor why she or he has not yet come to the crime scene, and received the response that ‘there is still a shootout and no security of life.’

Noting that the state was trying to cover up the incident by spoiling evidence and giving the pretense of a shootout, Taşdemir added that they have not yet found any information regarding the ID details of the 3rd civilian who was killed and dragged behind a police panzer last night.

Orhan Aslan (16) and Emrah Aydemir (15), who worked at a bakery in Diyadin, were murdered by the police as they were going to carry some wood from a storage unit to the bakery last night.

The body of another dead man was found amongst the ruins of houses in Murat Neighborhood in Diyadin this morning. According to a DİHA news article, witnesses reported that the body of the executed man was dragged behind a police panzer and brought to Murat Neighborhood. There are also marks of blood and dragging at the crime scene in the neighborhood.
