Guerrillas hit Turkish soldiers in Hakkari and Şırnak

HPG guerrillas carried out actions against Turkish soldiers in Hakkari and Şırnak, leaving three soldiers dead.

HPG (People’s Defense Forces) Press Office released a statement informing about the recent actions carried out by guerrillas against Turkish soldiers in Northern Kurdistan.

ŞEMDİNLİ

Accordingly, guerrillas hit Turkish troops stationed on Hill Xwedê in the countryside of Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district at 09:30 on November 28. One soldier was verified killed, one tent and one emplacement was destroyed as a result of this action during which guerrillas hit the emplacements and tents of the Turkish forces effectively. Following the action, Turkish forces bombarded the area with howitzer and mortar fire.

ÇUKURCA

At 12:00 on November 28, guerrillas targeted the Turkish soldiers on Martyr Bager hill in the countryside of Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district. The emplacement of the soldiers here were hit effectively and two soldiers were killed in the action, after which the dead and wounded soldiers were retrieved from the scene with Sikorsky helicopters, and the area was bombed with howitzer and mortar fire by the Turkish army.

ULUDERE

At 12:00 on November 28, guerrillas carried out an action against the soldiers planting surveillance cameras in the area between Sinek and Maymun hills in Şırnak’s Qileban (Uludere) district. While the soldiers came under intense fire, the number of those killed or wounded here couldn’t be clarified.
