Guerrilla families in Martyr Rûstem Cûdî (Maxmur) Refugee Camp made a joint statement in front of the Martyrs' Families Institution against the invasion carried out by the Turkish state together with the KDP.

The event, attended by many people, started after a minute’s silence for those who fell as martyrs in the struggle for democracy and freedom.

Teacher Sadik Benek, who read the joint statement, saluted the resistance of the guerrillas who are heroically resisting against the Turkish army. Benek said: "As it is known, the fascist Turkish state has launched a new invasion attack in South Kurdistan. The KDP's cooperation with the Turkish state is not a first. The Barzani family has always betrayed the Kurdish people. A heavy war is going on all over Kurdistan.

Kurdistan freedom guerrillas inflict heavy blows on the enemy. Despite everything, as guerrilla families, we are ready to fight with our children.”

Benek continued: “All guerrilla families should go out as activists. I call on all families and people in Southern Kurdistan. Descend to the areas against the occupation of Kurdistan. As the families of the Kurdistan freedom guerrillas, we call on all Kurdish people to take a clear stand against the attacks.”
