Four wounded in clashes in Tuz Khurmatu

Three peshmergas and one civilian were wounded in clashes that broke out after the Hashd al-Shaabi attacked Tuz Khurmatu. PUK’s neighborhood organization in Askari and the Taza-Dakuk road was taken by the Hashd al-Shaabi.

Three peshmergas and one civilian were wounded in the clashes that broke out after the Hashd al-Shaabi forces attacked Jamila, the PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) District Headquarters on the Baghdad road and the PUK neighborhood organizations in Askari neighborhood. The PUK neighborhood organization headquarters in Askari were occupied by the Hashd al-Shaabi Turkmen groups.

The district is now silent while tensions continue to run high.

DAKUK-TAZA ROAD OCCUPIED

Meanwhile, reports say the Hashd al-Shaabi forces took control of the road from Kirkuk to Tiqrit-Baghdad between the Taza subdistrict and Dakuk and they set up a checkpoint between Dakuk and Taza.
