Presidents of 15 Bar Associations in the Kurdish region filed an application demanding a meeting with Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan on August 13.

The application has been rejected in accordance with the Article 85 and 116 of the Law on the Execution of Sentences and Security Measures.

The application was filed by Presidents of the following Bar Associations in the Kurdish region; Amed, Urfa, Van, Batman, Mardin, Şırnak, Siirt, Ağrı, Adıyaman, Bingöl, Bitlis, Muş, Dersim, Hakkari and Kars-Ardahan Regional Bar.
