Death toll has risen to 3 in Cizre district of Şırnak where people faced yet another crackdown by Turkish security forces today. After the death of a seven-year-old child and 28-year-old youth, a civilian working for Cizre State Hospital has lost his life after police sprayed bullets on his car.
As clashes in Nur neighborhood continue, a man by the name of Eyüp Ergen was shot by security forces as he entered the neighborhood in his car in the afternoon.
An ambulance and medical team that arrived the scene for intervention was also targeted by arms and driven away from the area by security forces. The man whom locals took to Cizre State Hospital through their own means lost his life there.
In the meantime, bullets randomly fired by security forces have also left a woman injured in a foot. Clashes are going on in the district where snipers have been positioned at many points.
While seven-year-old Baran Çağlı died during clashes earlier today, 28-year-old Mesut Sanrı who suffered a critical injury at scene, also lost his life as police blockaded the hospital and deliberately denied him access to treatment.
