AKP Government and the Turkish army are deploying Special Force Squads who are notorious for the extrajudicial killings that they carried out in 1990’s in Kurdistan.

It is reported that 600 squads will be deployed in Kurdish cities like Hakkari, Van, Þýrnak, Dersim, Diyarbakýr as well in the cities in Black Sea Region, like Tokat and Giresun.

Currently there are 300 in Hakkari, 130 in Þýrnak, 210 in Dersim and 225 squads in Diyarbakir.

Security Directorate also stated that there are one thousand police officers volunteering to join squads.
