People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in its daily statement that artillery attacks and reconnaissance flights by the Turkish military on the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones continue.
People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in its daily statement that artillery attacks and reconnaissance flights by the Turkish military on the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones continue.
HPG first provided information regarding the bombardments launched by Turkish from the military posts in border areas. Accordingly, Turkish forces conducted the following attacks against Medya Defense Zones;
Garê regiment at the border of Xakurkê area targeted Hill Martyr Armanc at between 08.00 - 09.00 on August 26.
The areas of Kêlik, Derîyê Davetîya ve Martyr Kendal at the border line of Heftanin were also shelled by Turkish troops at between 22:00 on August 26 and 05:00 on August 27.
Oramar military post in Yüksekova district of Hakkari targeted Martyr Gafur and Martyr Bager areas at the Avashin border line at between 14.30 - 15.30 on August 26.
Hill Aruş military post at Metina border line targeted Hill Kureşino and its foothills at between 23.00 - 00.00 on August 26 and at between 02.30 - 03.00 on August 27. Troops at the post also bombarded Duavê area at between 04.00 - 04.30 on August 27.
Şker and Serêsevê military posts at Zap region border line targeted Hill Cehennem and its foothills at between 13.30 - 14.00 on August 26.
Eriş military post targeted Hill Xeregol and its foothills at 15:30 on August 26.
Bilican military post targeted its surrounding areas at between 03.00 - 04.00 on August 27.
RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS CONTINUE
HPG continued reporting ongoing reconnaissance flights by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles over the following areas in Medya Defense Zones;
-Avashin area at between 08.00 - 11.00 on August 27,
-Gare area at between 07.30 - 15.00 on August 26 and between 17:00 on August 26 and 09:00 on August 27,
-Matina area and border line at between 07:00 on August 26 and 10:00 on August 27,
-Zap region at between 06.00 - 15.00 on August 26.
HPG lastly reported that Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles have performed uninterrupted flights over Heftanin area and border line since August 17.
