People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in a statement that bombardments and the aerial activities of the Turkish military against the guerrilla held areas continue.

Regarding the heavy bombardments conducted by Turkish troops with howitzers and mortars, HPG listed the followings attacks launched from the following posts;

- Hill Çete military post at Zagros region's border line targeted its surroundings at between 21.00 - 22.00 on August 21,

- Rubarok military post at Avashin border line targeted Govendê area at 10:30 on August 21.

- Grana military post targeted Martyr Gafur area at between 16.30 - 17.30 on August 21,

- Oremar military post targeted Martyr Gafur area at between 05.00 - 06.00 on August 22,

- Elemun military post at Metina border line targeted Hill Dersim, foothills of Zendura and Hill Şehidan area at between 22.00 - 23.00 on August 21,

- Gırê, Serê Sêvê, Şkêr and Hill Ortê military posts at Zap region border line targeted Martyr Mazlum, Latê Kewa, Kale Nerwa and Hill Kominista areas of Çiyayê Reş region at between 09.00 - 10.00 on August 21,

- Bilican military post targeted Hill Hakan area at between 11.00 - 12.00 on August 21,

- Hill Ortê and Oremar military posts targeted areas of Hilal village, Dola Şifreza, Kani Cınnetê, Erbiş village, Martyr Şiyar, Martyr Zeki, Xusro passage, Zevê village ve Garêya Piçuk at between 05.00 - 06.00 on August 22.

Aerial activities and reconnaissance flights

HPG Press Office went on reporting the aerial activities and reconnaissance flights of the Turkish forces. Accordingly, Turkish jets carried out flights over Garê area of Medya Defence Zones at between 12.30 - 13.00 on August 21.

Regarding the reconnaissance flights of the Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles, HPG reported the following flights:

-Over Garê area at between 07.30 - 11.00 on August 22,

-Over Zap region at between 10.00 - 17.30 and 19.00 - 22.00 on August 21.

HPG said Turkish jets also carried out flights over the same region at between 12.00 - 13.30 the same day.

HPG lastly reported that a wildfire erupted in the foothills of Mije village in Amediye district of Zap region as a result of the airstrikes by Turkish jets on August 21, adding that the fire still continues.
