Bodies of 9 YPG/YPJ fighters brought to North Kurdistan

Bodies of 9 YPG/YPJ fighters who have fallen in the struggle against ISIS in Rojava and Shengal have been delivered to their families and MEYA-DER executives at Semelka border gate and taken to Habur border gate in Silopi district of Şırnak.

Bodies of 9 YPG/YPJ fighters who have fallen in the struggle against ISIS in Rojava and Shengal have been delivered to their families and MEYA-DER executives at Semelka border gate and taken to Habur border gate in Silopi district of Şırnak late yesterday afternoon.

The 9 freedom fighters who fell in the fight against ISIS are;

- YPG fighter İbrahim Özyolcu (Azad Agirî) was martyred in Shengal on 3 July,

- YPG fighter Ahmet Çılgın (Bextiyar Qoser) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 30 June,

- YPG fighter İsmail Bağışkundu (Bedran Siwerek) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 30 June,

- YPG fighter Akyan Cengiz (Firat Merdîn) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 27 June,

- YPG fighter Mustafa Turhan (Mervan Özalp) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 27 June,

- YPJ fighter Beritan Atalay (Eylem Bermal Egîd) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 27 June,

- YPG fighter Osman Atmaca (Zınar Şoreş Serhed) was martyred in Raqqa on 27 June,

- YPG fighter Zerdeşt Kılıç (Taylan Rozerin) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 30 June,

- YPG fighter Ferman Tuğrul (Sipan Amed) was martyred in Girê Sipî on 27 June.

Following an autopsy in Silopi, bodies of 9 YPG fighters will be sent to their hometown where they will be laid to rest.

- YPG fighter İbrahim Özyolcu will be laid to rest in Patnos district of Ağrı,

- YPG fighter Ahmet Çılgın in Kızıltepe district of Mardin,

- YPG fighter İsmail Bağışkundu in Urfa,

- YPG fighter Aykan Cengîz in Van,

- YPG fighter Mustafa Turhan in Van,

- YPJ fighter Beritan Atalay in Batman,

- YPG fighter Osman Atmaca in Muş,

- YPG fighter Zerdeşt Kılıç in Amed,

- YPG fighter Ferman Tuğrul in Amed.
