Doğubeyazıt vice co-mayor Bülent Erşik, SES Doğubeyazıt representative Recep Altındağ, MEYADER Doğubeyazıt representative Mehmet Birdal and SES member M. Sait Doğan Karabulut were detained upon their return from the action, which has been continuing for a while in the foothills of Mount Ararat in order to prevent probable clashes that might break out between Turkish troops and guerrilla forces.
It has been reported that these 4 persons were detained at the checkpoint set by Gendarme Forces upon their return from the action, and were taken to the building of Gendarme Command in the district.
