Seven people detained in a house-raid operation by special operation teams in Çal, Barış, Conkbayır, Dumlupınar and Afet neighborhoods of Siirt yesterday morning, were referred to courthouse following procedures at police headquarters. Later sent to a court with a request for their arrest, two of the detainees were released, while five others were remanded in custody on charges of 'membership to an organisation'.
ADIYAMAN
14 people who had been detained in police operations in Adıyaman have been referred to court house this morning following procedures at police headquarters. As people gathered outside the courthouse in solidarity with the detainees, the 14 were referred to a court with a request for their arrest.
While five among them were released on conditions of supervision, nine were remanded in custody and sent to Adıyaman E Type Closed Prison.
BATMAN
Seven people who were recently detained in Batman for 'participating in protest demos against YSK (Supreme Election Board)' in 2011, were referred to a court after giving their statements at prosecutor's office.
Two among them were released by court which sent five others to Batman M Type Closed Prison on charges of 'membership to an organisation'.
BİTLİS
Nine people including HDP district co-chair and a minor aged 16 were referred to Bitlis Courthouse after detention in house-raid operation in Ahlat district on August 3.
Six of the detainees were released after giving their statements at prosecutor's office, while the other three, including HDP Ahlat district co-chair Alaaddin Tokova, were sent to Bitlis Prison on charges of 'membership to an organisation'.
KARS
Procedures have been completed for 16 people who had been detained in house raids in Kars and Digor, Kağızman and Selim districts on August 5, who include co-mayor of Digor Şengül Erkmen, HDP Digor district co-chair ı Öner Buldu, DBP-held Kars Municipality's Council member Güldane Kıılıç, executives of HDP, DBP and KA-YÖDER.
After referral to courthouse and then to a court for allegedly 'spreading propaganda for an organisation', all the 16 detainees were released on conditions of supervision.
