Police teams have raided a number of houses in Silvan district of Amed early Wednesday morning.

14 people have been taken into custody in the operation which was carried out with armored vehicles.

The 17 people are accused of involvement in the conflict that broke out during the pro-election campaign after supporters and members of the Islamist Hür Dava Party – HÜDA-PAR- attacked an election office of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party).
