14 people were detained as a result of an attack on villagers who made an effort to hinder the Turkish soldiers participating a military operation in the rural area between the villages of Topçatan (Kanikork) and Gölyüzü (Şexxuli) in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı.

The 14 people who were detained by soldiers late yesterday evening were referred to Doğubayazıt Courthouse following procedures at police headquarters and medical check at hospital.

Some other villagers who also tried to enter the operation zone to act as human shields were attacked and wounded by soldiers.
