Kurdish political prisoner Warisha Muradi published a message from Evin Prison in Tehran on the occasion of December 22, Women’s and Mother's Day.
Muradi said: "The penalties imposed on women in Iran have increased by 35 percent compared to last year, and the current situation is reminiscent of the 1980s. During those years, mass killings were committed in prisons during the war, and patriots and freedom defenders were targeted. I warn Iran: This history must not repeat itself."
Warisha Muradi continued: "I never regret my struggle and resistance. As long as the oppression of women continues, I will continue my struggle from Kurdistan to Baluchistan, from Iran to Afghanistan. I will strive to achieve the goals of ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’."
