Third group of prisoners takes over hunger strike

The hunger strike launched by prisoners to demand the end of the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and to end the violations in prisons has reached day 13 and has been taken over by the 3rd group.

On 27 November, prisoners in Turkey have launched a hunger strike demanding the end of isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah and an end to the ongoing violations in prisons.

The action has been taken over by the 3rd group of prisoners and has reached day 13.

In order to draw attention to the hunger strike actions, TUHAY-DER (the prisoners’ families solidarity association) held a press statement joined by civil society organizations in Istanbul and Van, calling for an end to the isolation, and calling on people to express their solidarity.
