Prisoners on hunger strike denied medicine and face repression

Prisoners on hunger strike in Antalya L Type Prison said they face repression and are not given their medicines.

Prisoners who are on hunger strike in Antalya L Type Closed Prison in protest at the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan, have talked to their families.

The prisoners denounced repression in a message they conveyed through their families, saying; “We are not given the medicine we need. Unknown objects are thrown at us from the adjacent ward where ordinary prisoners stay. Our request to meet the administrator remains unanswered.”

Four prisoners are on hunger strike in the L Type Closed Prison in the southern province of Antalya, two of whom were named as Eshet Dalkılıç and Selim Kığı.
