In a phone conversation with their families, prisoners Hüseyin Aşkan, Mansur Zan and İsmail Tüzün in Kırşehir High Security Prison (YGC) said that their cells were raided and that they were tortured and put into solitary cells for no reason.

İsmail Tüzün told his family that the assault took place on 26 August. Tüzün said that the cells they were held in were constantly raided, and that they were being provoked by guards.

Try to prevent release

Hüseyin Aşkan said that while he was in Patnos Prison, they tried to prevent his release for futile reasons.

Prisoner had his arm broken

Prisoner Mansur Zan explained to his family that his arm was broken due to the torture they were subjected to and that the other prisoners were also seriously injured.

IHD to visit the prison

The families of the prisoners conveyed the situation to the Human Rights Association (IHD). The IHD Ankara Branch will go to Kırşehir YGC on 2 September to learn about the prisoners’ situation.
