Protests were held on Sunday night in Yeni Mahalle Esenler Street against the appointment of a trustee to Van (Wan) Metropolitan Municipality.
One of the people detained by Turkish police who attacked protesters reclaiming respect for their will, was disabled Enes Yakin (35).
Yakin was taken into custody and subjected to police torture. Only after his family went to the police station and told officers that he had mental issues, Enes Yakin was released.
Yakin’s family said they will bring his case to court.
