Petition calls on Switzerland to stop deportation of two Kurds

A petition has been launched to halt Switzerland’s decision to deport asylum seekers from Maxmur camp, brothers Abdulkarim and Ahmed Tallı, who came to Switzerland four years ago to Turkey.

Swiss authorities rejected asylum application of Abdülkerim Tallı (25) and Ahmet Tallı (32) who came to Switzerland 4 years ago from Maxmur Camp in Iraq. The Tallı brothers will be sent to Turkey where they have no connection at all.

The brothers who stay in a camp in Aarau Canton of Switzerland left the village of Akduman (Mijîn) in Şırnak's Uludere district in 1994 due to the pressures of the Turkish state and settled in Maxmur Camp as a family.

Asylum application of The Tallı brothers, who came to Switzerland illegally because the Maxmur Camp was constantly targeted by the Turkish state, was rejected by the Swiss state.

It is reported that they would be arrested by the Turkish government should Swiss deport them.

Many people, including Swiss activists, have signed a petition to stop deportation of the Tallı brothers.
