Two more prisoners were executed in Iran, according to local sources. The prisoners have been named as Naroi Sahargah, who was in the city of Kahnuj in the province of Kirman, and Soresh Maruti, who escaped during the riot in Chios Prison and were later rearrested.

One of the prisoners, Maruti, was given the death penalty for "murder".

According to the data published by Iranian and international human rights organizations, at least 423 people have been executed in Iran since the beginning of 2023. However, all organizations agree that the actual figures are much higher.
