Hunger strike in Maxmur Camp reaches day 11

The hunger strike against the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on the 11th day in Maxmur Martyr Rüstem Cudi Camp.

A solidarity hunger strike against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan has been taking place for 11 days in Maxmur Martyr Rüstem Cudi Camp in South Kurdistan. The hunger strike is carried out by changing groups in support of political prisoners in Turkey and has been launched by Ishtar Women's Council. The 6th group of activists have now taken over the hunger strike.

Speaking on behalf of the 5th group, Wesile Gabari said: “We salute the hunger strike carried out by prisoners. Leyla Güven was arrested by the occupying Turkish state. As the women of Maxmur, we will support Leyla Güven's struggle. We also wish success to the 6th group.”
