Fourth group takes over hunger strike in prison to end isolation

The hunger strike launched by prisoners on 27 November demanding the end of the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan as well as the violations in prisons entered its 17th day with the 4th group of prisoners.

Prisoners in Turkish jails are on hunger strike since 27 November demanding to end the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan and continued violations they are suffering. The hunger strike is being carried out in groups and for four days each group so far.

Today is the 17th day and the fourth group has taken over the fast.

In the phone calls made by prisoners to their families, they asked their relatives and friends to “be the voices of the prisoners in prison. Let's get through this process together, let's destroy fascism together."
