250 lawyers appeal to meet with Öcalan

250 lawyers have appealed to Bursa Public Prosecutor’s office to meet with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

As many as 250 lawyers from several cities including Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Mersin, Muğla, Hakkari and Mardin have submitted a mass appeal to Bursa Public Prosecutor’s office through Asrın Law Office today in order to meet with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

This is the 707th appeal submitted by lawyers for a meeting with the Kurdish leader.

The last time Öcalan’s lawyers visited him was on 27 July 2011. Since then, their appeal to visit the Kurdish leader has been rejected on grounds of “weather conditions”, “malfunctioning coaster”, “coaster reparations”, or “state of emergency”.

The lawyers had held a press conference yesterday before submitting the appeal.
